Radiology (X-Rays)
Our digital radiology system allows us to diagnose diseases which are often hidden beyond what external exams can reveal.
X-rays can also be utilized during wellness exams to detect potential health concerns before they escalate.
X-rays offer critical insights into various aspects of your pet’s health, including their bones, gastrointestinal tract (stomach, intestines, colon), respiratory tract (lungs), heart, and genitourinary system (bladder, prostate). They can be used alone or alongside other diagnostic tools, and interpreting these images requires the veterinarian's expertise.
We are pleased to offer digital radiology, which captures x-rays digitally rather than on film. This advanced technology enables faster diagnoses and exposes your pet to less radiation compared to traditional x-rays.
To ensure clear, accurate images, it’s important for pets to remain perfectly still during the x-ray process. In some cases, we may need to sedate your pet or use short-acting general anesthesia to achieve this.
If you have any questions about our radiology services or what to expect during your pet’s x-ray procedure, please feel free to ask.
